Youth Sailing Foundation of the Palm Beaches –
Spring Sail Team Sponsorship Available
Marine Industries Association Members,
The Youth Sailing Foundation of the Palm Beaches was formed in 2015 to support youth sailing in Palm Beach County by working with established organizations in the community.  One of our goals is to support young sailors who are interested in developing their sailing skills but may not have the financial means to do so.
The Palm Beach Sailing Club is currently registering sailors for the Spring Sailing Team that starts Saturday January 16th.  Participants range in age from 8-16, with younger sailors in the small Optimist dinghy, and the high school sailors in the olympic class Laser dinghy.  Season runs from Jan 16 to May 26.  There is one after-school practice during the week, and a Saturday practice.  Competitive sailors travel to regattas around South Florida.  Many of the older Sail Team sailors return to work as summer camp counselors or volunteers.  The Coaching fee for the Spring Season is $450 and there is a $150 boat rental fee.
Our Foundation would like to sponsor a young sailor with a genuine interest in developing their sailing skills, who is in good academic standing and may require financial assistance.    Sponsorship may be partial or full depending on assessed need.
Please provide the following information for sponsorship consideration totom@ysfpb.org by January 24th.
