The speaker will be Debbie Wemyss, Owner of DW Consulting Solutions. A New Englander, Debbie Wemyss has lived in South Florida over 35 years, spending 20 years in PR, marketing, and fundraising for nonprofits. DW Consulting Solutions LLC founded in 2011 and now fills a void in social media, offering expert coaching on how to use LinkedIn as a powerful branding and marketing tool. Having coached over 600 individual professionals in 23 countries and hundreds more through workshops and speaking engagements, Ms. Wemyss is passionate about the marketing power of the world’s largest professional networking site. Before entering the workplace, he graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Applied Economics & Management and as an AP All-American Wide Receiver for the football team.

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them for their monthly Business After Hours! This month’s event will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Downtown at the Gardens.
Guests of our Business After Hours event will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and the opportunity to network with other professionals in the local business community.

Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will benefit the American Cancer Society selected by our Ambassador Committee. Every month we highlight a member of our Chamber that is a non-profit by inviting them to share their mission with our Business After Hours’ guests. Remember to bring cash to be a part of the fundraising for this particular non-profit.

Jupiter Medical Center
Loggerhead Triathlon

The Jupiter Medical Center Loggerhead Triathlon will be held on Saturday, August 5th beginning at 7:00 a.m. at Carlin Park in Jupiter, FL. The race course consists of a 3/8 mile ocean swim, 13 mile bike and flat 3.1 mile run. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall in each division. This is a USAT sanctioned event. We would like to recognize Sydney Dickinson as our new Finance Manager here at Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce!

Born and raised in Palm Beach County, Sydney attended Florida State University where she received her degree in Finance with a minor in Economics. She has spent the past two years working as a financial analyst for a media company, before joining the Palm Beach North Chamber as the Finance Manager on May 8th.

Small Business Spotlight

The Pediatric Oncology Support Team (P.O.S.T.)
has been helping children with cancer and their families in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for 19 years. The P.O.S.T. staff partners with families in the local community and provides support, teaches new skills, offers new perspectives, and also produces videos that feature survivors sharing stories of their cancer journeys. The aim is to provide hope, help and healing.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Chamber because they’ve given us so many contacts and provided such great networking opportunities,” said Barbara Abernathy, CEO of P.O.S.T. “They have really helped us get the word out about the work we’re doing.”
